What’s your number one wellness tip?
Learning how to run off your stress switch. When your body gets stuck in flight or flight mode it’s near impossible to lose weight, detox or even get proper nourishment from your food – so it needs to start with learning to unwind. One of the best ways to start is with Alternate Nostril Breathing.
What’s your one non-negotiable when it comes to your health?
High-quality protein – it stabilises blood sugar and in turn hormones. It was absolutely key in healing my body from Adrenal Fatigue.
What motto do you live by?
Unwind, nourish, thrive. This is my own personal mantra and has now become the 3 pillars of my signature program The Fuel Formula.
What is your proudest achievement?
Leaving a 13 year career in advertising to create the life of my dreams.
What are your goals for the future?
To keep dreaming big and keep creating those dreams for real. Life’s way too short to live any other way. I hope to inspire women worldwide to see there really is another way other than working hard and burning out to reach ‘success’.
Tell us something not many people know about you?
I starred in a McDonalds ad as a child and went on to create ads for CocaCola. Perhaps 2 things that are best left out of your diet 😉
Can you share with us one of your favourite recipes?
This is a favourite recipe from the recipe book which comes with my Driven Womans Detox.
Slow Fish Curry
3 tablespoons coconut oil
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/8 cup ginger, finely chopped
2 red chillies, finely chopped
3 teaspoons tumeric powder
20 fresh curry leaves
2 cans organic tomatoes, diced
1/2 broccoli, chopped
1 sweet potato, chopped
1 can organic coconut cream
500g-1kg wild Alaskan salmon
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon celtic sea salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Fresh coriander, lemon wedges and brown rice or quinoa to serve
Sautee onion, garlic, ginger and chillies in coconut oil in a fry pan and add the salmon at the end to lightly sear. Transfer these to a slow cooker dish and add the remainder of the ingredients – stirring until thoroughly mixed. Cook on low heat for 3-4 hours (can be left for up to 6 hours). Serve with lemon wedges, fresh coriander and brown rice or quinoa.
