My Top 10 Winter Loves

I’m all about gratitude at the moment; I’m totally digging the stuff. You see, everything is in our minds. It’s all up to us. We have a choice and total control over how we view our world and experiences. It’s all got to do with our mindset. For example, we can choose to hate the weather, curse the rain and complain about the cold (I looove summer!) or we can choose to see the positives in every situation. If I didn’t experience three months of winter every year, I wouldn’t know how much I love and appreciate summer.

Plus, I truly believe that when you focus your mind on appreciation, your life will offer up so many moments and opportunities to appreciate. Appreciation is simply a mindset and we just need to strengthen our mindset muscle. If you are constantly (or mostly) complaining, critical and negative, you will attract a pretty average reality whereby you have a lot to be critical about.

Every night I list 5 things that I am grateful for that day and every morning I repeat one of my favourite affirmations, “my life flows effortlessly”. You see, your body hears what your mind thinks and from this, your reality is created. Do you know a person you perceive to be extremely lucky all the time? They seem to have everything sorted out, they achieve their goals, their life looks perfect? We all know one of these people. They create their own luck; let me assure you of that. Their mindset is so well tuned that they create their desired reality, while the rest of us are still dreaming.

Remember this quote by Gandhi, “your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values and your values become your destiny”. And repeat after me, “my life flows effortlessly”.

I’d love for you to share with us, what your winter loves are so we can all share a whole heap of winter gratitude.  My top 10 winter loves are:
